Gabby Edlin is an activist for menstrual equity

Named as one of the Evening Standard’s Progress 1000 Top Changemakers in 2018 and former Stylist’s Woman of the Week, she started Bloody Good Period in 2016 when she was volunteering and discovered that sanitary towels were only provided to asylum seekers ‘in emergencies’. A Facebook campaign for donations of towels and tampons turned into a full-blown operation to collect and distribute period supplies for asylum seekers across the UK.
